A Post Entitled The MHD3 are Asheville-bound in a plane after the conclusion of ‘Searching for Freedom in America’
The MHD: Search for Freedom wrapped-up this past weekend in the Bay Area and now I’m sitting between Jason and Adam on a westbound flight that’ll ultimately put us in Asheville, NC for the State Policy Network’s annual conference. There, I’ll share a bit about doing a video project, Adam will inform folks about using social networks and Jason will talk about lighting/recording. Later we’ll be on a plenary session about what we learned while on the road. Should be fun!
Then it’s off to Arlington, VA to be with my girl Allison!

Earlier this week I sat down with Carl Graham, head of the Montana Policy Institute who shared a bit of his background and gave an overview of the climate of freedom in the state. Carl is a good guy and his organization is one of the best state-based think tanks (in terms of guiding principles) I’ve yet visited with MHD.

Doing research for the video we’re shooting tmrw in northern Idaho about Ruby Ridge I came across that statement on the official U.S. Marshal’s website.

When in Mankato, MN the http://motorhomediaries.com crew shot a video about the largest mass execution in U.S. history - the result of a conflict that flared up in 1862 between the U.S. government and the Dakota Indians. In this video MHD’s Pete Eyre gives an overview of the background that set the stage for this event and shared a few of his thoughts in an attempt to uncover how such an event can be prevented/mitigated in the future.
